Having reviewed countless actor headshots as a director and member of a show's creative team, I understand what works and what doesn’t. Your headshot needs to quickly communicate who you are while giving a casting team an authentic sense of how you might fit a role. My goal is to create images that feel natural, current and unmistakably you.
Your Headshot Should Look Like You
An actor’s headshot is not a portrait, glamour shot, or modeling image. It is a professional representation of who you are right now. Your headshot should reflect your authentic self, as you would appear on your best average day in front of a casting team.
Actor Headshot Sessions
Each of my three sessions is designed around you, the actor. Depending on the session you choose, we'll create multiple looks using wardrobe options and colored backdrops. You'll also receive access to a private proofing gallery so you can take your time reviewing your images and selecting your favorites.
Preparing for Your Headshot Session
Your session includes consultation before and after we shoot. Before your session, we'll talk through wardrobe, looks and how to prepare. Afterward, I'll help guide you through the proofing process so you can narrow your images down to the headshots you'd like professionally finished.
Based in Frederick, Maryland, I work with actors throughout Maryland, Washington DC, Northern Virginia and the surrounding Mid-Atlantic region.
